Anyone in Jesus.

What Jesus said about those who will follow him.

“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Luke 10 :22

I Can Expect The Father To Be Revealed To Me.

Jesus has Himself declared that this is the Will of the Father, and this revelation is open to everyone.  Jesus declared that no one could grasp the fullness of His revelation while He was walking among humanity; from time to time, there were glimpses of His attributes unveiled, but who He was in His fullness was hidden from the minds and eyes of men.

But through receiving the free gift of Salvation purchased through the blood of Jesus and embracing the Word of God and experiencing the new birth, I can grow in the knowledge of Who Jesus is, and have the Will and purposes of the Father revealed in my life.

I Am A Partaker Of The Life Of Christ.

Jesus delared: “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” John 6 verse 51

At first glance, this would appear to be a very difficult instruction from Jesus; the people knew that drinking blood and eating human flesh were not permitted by the Law of Moses, so they shrank back from heeding this word of Jesus.

As believers thank the Lord, we can see the revelation that the Holy Spirit brings to our learning, When I receive the free gift of salvation that Jesus has purchased through His blood, I become a partaker of Him and I receive the provision of having His life which is eternal into my reborn spirit man.

Deny Myself,Take Up My Cross And Follow Jesus.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. Matthew 16 verse 24

And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. Luke 9 verse 23

Here again, is the continued revelation of the reality that the Salvation wrought through Jesus Christ is offered to the whoever will believe, to the whoever, wherever they may be found, in whatsoever generation they may live. If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

Jesus never offers a choice; in reality, Jesus issues a command, the tone or expression of the address of Jesus is forceful and emphatic, and His words or manner of speech demands action.

The taking up of one’s cross is never intended as a one off occasion, but as a continual practise.

I Must Be A Servant Of All.

Sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” Mark 9 verse 35

Jesus lived His life as an example to the Disciples on the revelation of the necessity of developing in their lives a spirit of humility; no one disciple was to be elevated over and above another.

Jesus, on another occasion, warned the disciples that operating in the Kingdom of God requires the need of everyone being of equal status and importance, everyone were to be servants of all and masters of none.

On one occasion, Jesus was approached by the mother of James and john she requested that they be granted a unique place of prominence

And Jesus said unto her, What do you ask of Me? She answering said unto Him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on Your right hand, and the other on the left, in Your Kingdom.

But Jesus answered and said, you do not know what you are asking for. Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

They said unto Jesus, We are able.

And Jesus said unto them, You shall drink indeed of My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on My right hand, and on My left, is not Mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of My Father.

And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren. But Jesus called them unto Himself, and said, You know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister, And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many. Matthew 20 verses 20-28.

In the world, there is a system of rank and file; in the world, there exists a class distinction, which creates barriers among people, but Jesus lays specific emphasis that the Kingdom of God on the earth will not function like the world.

Everyone will share in the Kingdom, everyone will be desiring to become servants to and for each other.

There are three further aspects concerning anyone who is in Christ that are important to know.

If I Am God Fearing And Do The Father’s Will He Will Hear Me.

“We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. John 9 verse 31

If I Keep His Word I WILL Be Loved By The Father.

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. John 14 verse 23

IF I SERVE JESUS THE FATHER SHALL HONOUR ME.

“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honour him. John 12 verse 26

The honour that the Father bestows is that of being greatly esteemed in his eyes, not because of who i am of myself, but because of serving Jesus.
