Are The Commandments Of Jesus Important?

Who Shall Be Deemed Great In The Kingdom Of God?

Matthew 5: 17-19.

Do not think that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy them but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, until heaven and earth shall pass, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law until all be fulfilled.

Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Loving The Father.

Mark 12:28-30.

Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?” Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

The Essential Requirement Of Repentance

Repentance: An Important Element Of The Gospel.

After John was imprisoned, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15.

Woe unto you, Chorazin! Woe unto you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. Matthew 11:21

Repentance Turns Away The Righteous Judgement Of The Father.

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. Matthew 12:41

For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and you believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and you, when you had seen it, repented not afterwards, that you might believe him. Matthew 21:32

All Have Sinned, All Need Repentance.

When Jesus heard it, he said unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Read More... “The Essential Requirement Of Repentance”

Jesus Heals Jairus’s Daughter

Matthew 9 : 18-19, 23-26.

While Jesus spoke these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did the disciples. And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,  He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleeps. And they laughed Him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, Jesus went in and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the fame of Him went abroad into all that land.

Mark 5 : 21-24.

Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet and begged Jesus earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” Read More... “Jesus Heals Jairus’s Daughter”

The Healing Of The Deaf Mute.

Matthew 9 : 32-34.

As they went out, behold, they brought to Jesus a dumb man possessed by a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. But the Pharisees said He casts out devils through the prince of the devils.

Mark 7 : 31-37.

Again, departing from the region of Tyre and Sidon, Jesus came through the midst of the region of Decapolis to the Sea of Galilee. Then they brought to Him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged Him to put His hand on him. And Jesus took him aside from the multitude and put His fingers in his ears, and He spat and touched his tongue. Then, looking up to heaven, Jesus sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. Then Jesus commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. Read More... “The Healing Of The Deaf Mute.”
