Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise, you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore, when you do thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have the glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6;1-2.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn, and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you, by worrying, can add one cubit to his stature? If you cannot do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? Read More... “Heeding The Words Of Jesus.”
And, behold, a young man came unto Jesus and said Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why do you call Me good? there is none good but One, that is, God: but if you would enter into life, keep the commandments. He said unto Jesus, Which? Jesus said you shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, Honour both your father and mother: and, you shall love your neighbour as yourself.
The young man said unto Jesus All these things I have kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If you would be perfect, go and sell that which you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God. Read More... “Hard For Rich To Enter.”
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than them? Which of you by taking thought can add one inch unto his height? And why do you take thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God can so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Where and how shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek, know that your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. Read More... “Giving The Kingdom Its Rightful Place.”
While Jesus yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brethren stood without, desiring to speak with Him. Then one said unto Jesus, Behold, Your mother and Your brethren stand without, desiring to speak with You. But Jesus answered and said unto him that told him, Who is My mother? and who are My brethren? And Jesus stretched forth His hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:46-50
Who Are Those Who Enter Heaven?
Not everyone that will say unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name, we have cast out devils? and in Your name, we have done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them,” I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7 : 21-23.
