“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.
I am the good shepherd, and I know My sheep and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.“Therefore, My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”John 10:11-18.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that does not enter into the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that enters in by the door is the Shepherd of the sheep. To Him, the porter opens and the sheep hear His voice: and He calls His own sheep by name, and leads them out. And when He puts forth His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice and a stranger they will not follow but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable Jesus spoke unto them: but they did not understand what things they were which Jesus spoke unto them.
Then Jesus said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the Door of the sheep. All that ever came before Me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the Door: if any man enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world sees Me no more, but you see Me: because I live, you shall live also. On that day, you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He that has My commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him. Judas, not Iscariot, said unto Jesus, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself unto us, but not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him. He that does not love Me does not keep My sayings: and the word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s Who sent Me. John 14 vs 18-24.
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or, if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11 v 9-13.
If you Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it cannot see Him, Neither do they know Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:15-18.Read More... “What Jesus Said About The Father Giving The Holy Spirit”
