And Jesus entered into a ship, passed over, and came into His own city. And, behold, they brought to Jesus a man sick, a paralytic, lying on a bed: and Jesus, seeing their faith, said unto the paralytic, Son, be of good cheer; your sins be forgiven you. Matthew 9:1-2.
And, behold, a woman, who had been diseased with a blood issue for twelve years, came behind Jesus and touched the hem of His garment. For she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned about, and when He saw her, said, Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Matthew 9: 20-22.
When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying and saying, Son of David, have mercy on us. When He came into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said unto them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said unto Him, Yes, Lord. Then Jesus touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened, and Jesus sternly charged them, saying, See that no man knows it. If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world; therefore, the world hates you. Remember, therefore the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My Name’s sake, because they know not the Father that sent Me. John 15: 18-21
And now come I to You and these things I speak in the world, that they might have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world but that You should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Hear you therefore the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom and fails to understand it then the wicked one comes to catch away that which is sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and immediately joyfully receives the word.; Yet he because he has no root in himself, he only endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended. Matthew 13:18-21.
Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matthew 5:11-12.
You have heard that it has been said, that you shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Matthew 5:13.
And if your eye offends yourself, pluck it out: it is better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worms do not die and the fire is not quenched. For everyone shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt has lost its saltness, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another. Mark 9: 47-50.
Salt is good: but if the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Luke 14: 34-35.
