What Jesus Said About The Believer And Fasting.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Moreover, when you fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you; They have their reward. When you fast anoint your head, and wash your face; That you appear not unto men to fast, but unto your Father who sees in secret: and your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you openly. Matthew 6 v 14-18..

Then came to Jesus the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast? Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they shall fast. No man puts a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up takes from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine run out and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. What Jesus Said About Casting The Word Before Swine?

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First, remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. “Do not give what is Holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. Matthew 7:1-6.

What Jesus Said About Praying To The Father.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not you, therefore, like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, even before you ask Him. After this manner, therefore, pray you Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in the earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6: 7-13

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father, I have made known unto you.  You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.  Read More... “What Jesus Said About Praying To The Father.”

What Jesus Said About Mammon.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.  The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light.  But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:19-24.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.  If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?  And if you have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?  Read More... “What Jesus Said About Mammon.”
