The Need To Continue In The Vine.
I am the true Vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that bears not fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me.
I am the Vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15 : 1-6

Repentance In The Ministry Of John The Baptist.
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent you: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. I can of Mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not My own will, but the will of the Father Who has sent Me. John 5 : 30
Righteousness Must Be Sought Out.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5 : 6
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalts himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He has come, He will reprove the world of sin, and righteousness, and judgement: Of sin, because they believe not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and you see Me no more; John 16 : 7-10
