What Jesus Said About The Swearing Of An Oath.

“Again, you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. Matthew 5: 33-37.

Woe unto you, you blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!  You fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the gold?  And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever swears by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.  You fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?  Whosoever therefore shall swear by the altar, swears by it, and by all things thereon.  Read More... “What Jesus Said About The Swearing Of An Oath.”

The Disciples And Their Secret Ministry.

The Giving Of Alms In Secret.

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. Matthew 6:1-4.

Pray In The Secret Place.

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. What Jesus Said About The Believer And Fasting.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Moreover, when you fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you; They have their reward. When you fast anoint your head, and wash your face; That you appear not unto men to fast, but unto your Father who sees in secret: and your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you openly. Matthew 6 v 14-18..

Then came to Jesus the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast? Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they shall fast. No man puts a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up takes from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine run out and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. Praying To The Father.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not you, therefore, like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, even before you ask Him. After this manner, therefore, pray you Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in the earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6: 7-13

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father, I have made known unto you.  You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.  Read More... “Praying To The Father.”
