Time for Fruitfulness ( Video )

The Parable Of The Barren Fig Tree

“I wanted to tell you a story…”A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it-but found none. So he said to the gardener, “For three years I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it take up the soil?” But the gardener replied, “Sir, leave it alone for one more year. I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit  next year, fine. If not-then cut it down.”(This story is found in Luke 13:6-9.)

“Let Me explain what this story means…” The fig tree had time. The owner had patience. But patience doesn’t mean there’s no deadline. The Father looks for fruit in your life-real change, real obedience, real love. And He’s merciful. He gives you time. He gives you care. He gives you truth. But don’t mistake His mercy for permission to stay unfruitful.

There is a time to be dug around. There is a time to be nourished. And then-there is a time to bear fruit. “My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.” I didn’t speak these stories on My own. Read More... “Time for Fruitfulness ( Video )”

The Parable Of The Ten Virgins

“I wanted to tell you a story…”The Kingdom of Heaven is like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were wise, and five were foolish. The wise took oil in jars along with their lamps. But the foolish took their lamps-and brought no oil with them. The bridegroom was delayed, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. But at midnight, a cry rang out: “Behold, the bridegroom is coming! Go out to meet him!” All the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

The foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil! Our lamps are going out!” But the wise answered, “No-there may not be enough for both us and you. Go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.” But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast-and the door was shut. Later the others came and said, “Lord, Lord, open the door for us!” But he replied, “Truly I say to you, I do not know you.”

So watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man comes. Read More... “Be Ready for the Bridegroom ( Video )”
