The Parable Of The Lost Sheep

“I wanted to tell you a story…”Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, “Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.” I tell you that in the same way, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (This story is found in Matthew 18:12-14 and Luke 15:3-7.)

“Let Me explain what this story means…” I am the Good Shepherd, and I go after the lost. When you stray, I will come to find you, no matter how far you’ve wandered. The Kingdom of Heaven isn’t about numbers-it’s about the one. When one sinner repents, there’s more joy in heaven than over the whole flock who never strayed.

So know this: If you’re lost, I will find you. If you feel far from Me, I’ll come for you. “My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.” I didn’t speak these stories on My own. In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”

This story came from the Father-to show you how much I care for the one who is lost. And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” If you are lost, I will come for you. No one is beyond My reach. I will find you, and I will carry you home.
