What Did I Say About Prayer?

You want to know what I said about prayer? Let Me remind you. In Matthew 6:6, I said: “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and… pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”Prayer is not for show. It’s for relationship. Speak to your Father sincerely-He sees you.

In Matthew 6:7-8, I said: “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions… for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.” You don’t need to impress God. He already knows your needs. Come to Him with a true heart.

In Matthew 6:9-13, I said: “After this manner therefore pray ye…” And I gave you The Lord’s Prayer, saying: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name…” I showed you how to pray: honor the Father, seek His will, ask for daily needs, forgiveness, and strength.

In Mark 11:24-25, I said: “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive…” Faith matters when you pray-but so does forgiveness. Your heart must be clean.

In Luke 18:1, I told a parable to this end: “That men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Don’t give up. Pray persistently. Your Father hears-and answers in His perfect time.

In Matthew 26:41, I said: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Prayer is your defense. Stay alert. Stay connected to Me.

Why Do My Words Matter? Why Should You Listen to Me? Because I do not speak on My own-I speak what the Father gave Me. In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me… gave Me a commandment… and I know that His commandment is life everlasting.” Prayer connects you to the Father-and to the life He gives.

And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” Emotions fade. Voices fade. But the invitation to pray-to seek the Father-remains forever. So if you’re still asking, “What did You say about prayer?”

Here’s My answer: Pray in secret. Pray with sincerity. Pray with faith. Pray with forgiveness. Pray without giving up. Pray to avoid temptation. And when you pray-know that your Father hears you.
