There are many aspects to consider why the words of Jesus are so valuable and why they are of such importance to the lives of believers.

The primary reason for evaluating the words of Jesus is to gain the revelation that the Father is the originator of Jesus’s Word.

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when Jesus had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards He was hungry.

Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

But Jesus answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Matthew 4:1-4.

On another occasion, Jesus declared: For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father Who sent Me gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak. John 12 :49-50.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.

He that does not love Me does not keep My sayings: and the words that you hear are not Mine, but the Father’s Who sent Me. John 14: 23-24.

Every Word delivered by Jesus Christ in the executing of the Redemptive plan of the Father in this world carried the authority of His Father in Heaven.
