What Did I Say About the Eye?

You want to know what I said about the eye? Let Me remind you. In Matthew 6:22-23, I said: “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Your eye guides your whole being. What you focus on will shape your soul-light or darkness.

In Matthew 5:29, I said: “If thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”This is how serious sin is. If what you see leads you to stumble-remove it. Whatever tempts you, don’t play with it-cut it off.

In Luke 11:34-36, I said: “The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light… but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness…
If thy whole body therefore be full of light… having no part dark… the whole shall be full of light.” Keep your focus pure. When your eyes are filled with truth, your whole life will reflect that light.

Why Do My Words Matter? Why Should You Listen to Me? Because your eyes lead your heart-and your heart leads your eternity.  In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me… gave Me a commandment… and I know that His commandment is life everlasting.” I speak what the Father has shown Me-and His command leads to life, not darkness.

And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” The world may tell you to look at anything. But My words stand forever-guiding you to the light. So if you’re still asking, “What did You say about the eye?”

Here’s My answer: Your eye is the lamp of your body. If it is clear-your life will be full of light. If it is dark-your whole body will be dark. Remove whatever causes you to stumble. Watch what you  focus on. Let your eyes lead you toward Me-and not away.
