The Parable Of The Mustard Seed

“I wanted to tell you a story…”The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. It’s the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows, it becomes the  greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree-so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches. (This story is found in Matthew 13:31-32, Mark 4:30-32, and Luke 13:18-19.) “Let Me explain what this story means…” The Kingdom doesn’t always look powerful when it starts.

It may seem small-like a mustard seed. But don’t be fooled by the size. What starts as almost nothing… becomes something great. My Kingdom grows quietly. In hearts. In homes. In hidden places. But in time, it becomes large enough for others to find rest in it. It becomes a shelter. A refuge. A place of life. Don’t underestimate small beginnings. What matters is what the seed becomes.
“My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.”

I didn’t speak these stories on My own. In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I  should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.” This story came from the Father. He wants you to  understand how His Kingdom works-even when it seems small or unnoticed.

And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” So don’t ignore the small seed. Don’t despise humble beginnings. Because when it’s from Me…  it will grow.
