The Parable Of The Hidden Treasure And The Pearl

“I wanted to tell you a story…”The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy went and sold all he had to buy that field. Again, the  Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one pearl of great price, he went away, sold everything he had-and bought it. (These stories are found in Matthew  13:44-46.)

“Let Me explain what these stories mean…” The Kingdom is not something you stumble across lightly-it’s the greatest treasure you’ll ever find. And once you truly see its worth, you won’t hesitate. You’ll give up everything to make it yours. Some of you may stumble upon it unexpectedly-like the man in the field. Others search for it like the merchant-longing for something real. But however  you find it-don’t miss it. The Kingdom costs you everything.

But in return… you gain everything. You won’t regret what you give up-when you realize what I’ve given you.”My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.”I didn’t speak these stories on My own.

In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His  Commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.” These stories came from the Father-to show you the true value of the Kingdom.

And in  Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” So don’t hold back. Don’t hesitate. The treasure is here. The pearl is before you. Will you give everything to receive it?
