John 15 v 1-6<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.<\/p>\n

2\u00a0Every branch\u00a0IN<\/span>\u00a0me that bears not <\/span>fruit He\u00a0takes away<\/span>: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.<\/p>\n

3\u00a0Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.<\/p>\n

4\u00a0Abide<\/span>\u00a0in me, and I in you. As the branch\u00a0cannot\u00a0bear fruit of itself<\/span>, except it\u00a0abide<\/span>\u00a0in the vine; no more can ye, except ye\u00a0abide<\/span>\u00a0in me.<\/p>\n

5\u00a0I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that\u00a0abides<\/span>\u00a0in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do\u00a0nothing<\/span>.<\/p>\n

6\u00a0If a man\u00a0abide\u00a0not<\/span>\u00a0in me, he is\u00a0cast forth<\/span> as a branch, and is\u00a0withered<\/span>; and men gather them, and\u00a0cast them into the fire<\/span>, and they are\u00a0burned<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Ye are the salt of the earth: but<\/span> if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing<\/span>, but to be cast out<\/span>, and to be trodden under foot of men<\/span>.<\/p>\n

42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?<\/p>\n

43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.<\/p>\n

44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.<\/p>\n

45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My Lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;<\/p>\n

46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder<\/span>, and will appoint him his portion<\/span> with the unbelievers<\/span>.<\/p>\n

47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.<\/p>\n

2 And five of them were wise<\/span>, and five were foolish<\/span>.<\/p>\n

3 They that were foolish<\/span> took their lamps, and took no oil<\/span> with them:<\/p>\n

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.<\/p>\n

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.<\/p>\n

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go ye out to meet him.<\/p>\n

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.<\/p>\n

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out<\/span>.<\/p>\n

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.<\/p>\n

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.<\/p>\n

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us<\/span>.<\/p>\n

12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not<\/span>.<\/p>\n
