The Parable Of The Lost Coin

“I wanted to tell you a story…” What woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one, doesn’t light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, “Rejoice with me! I have found the coin that I lost!” Even so, I tell you: There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

(This story is found in Luke 15:8-10.) “Let Me explain what this story means…” You may feel small. Like one coin out of many. But not to Me. I notice when you’re missing. I light the lamp. I sweep the house. I search-until I find you.

You are not forgotten.  You are not discarded. You are worth the search. And when you are found-when you turn back to Me-heaven rejoices. Because your life matters to the Father. “My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.”I didn’t speak these stories on My own.

In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.  And I know that His  Commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”

This story came from the Father-because He wants you to know how much He values your soul.  And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” That means this truth hasn’t changed: You are worth the search. And the celebration is waiting.
