Knowing And Fulfilling The Father’s Purposes.
Jesus said, “As the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.” (John 5:26) The Father’s ultimate purpose has never been merely to give His people a doctrine to understand, but His own life to express.
And Jesus further declared, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). As believers behold Jesus Christ, as we abide in Him, and yield our lives to the Holy Spirit, His compassion, humility, purity, obedience, patience, faithfulness, and love become increasingly visible because His life is finding unhindered expression through us.
Jesus said, “He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). This is the Father’s eternal purpose: that His own life should be seen in His people, His character revealed, and His Son made known to the world. The life of every believer is therefore not merely about knowing what Christ taught, but allowing the life of Christ to become increasingly evident in the way we live. We must gain the full understanding that the life received through Jesus Christ is far more than enough to sustain our existence:
- It is the inexhaustible life of the eternal Father.
- Limitless in its power.
- Perfect in its sufficiency.
- And glorious in its transforming work.
This life surpasses every human conception because it is nothing less than the life that comes from the Father, received through the Son, and expressed by the Holy Spirit within those who believe and continually remain in Christ. The challenge is therefore not simply “What does the believer know about Christ?” but “How much of Christ is being seen through the believer’s life?”
