The Parable Of The Two Builders (Wise and Foolish Men)

“I wanted to tell you a story…”Everyone who hears My words and does them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down. The floods rose. The wind blew and beat  Against that house- but it didn’t fall, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears My words and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain came down.

The floods rose.  The wind blew and beat against that house- and it fell. And great was its fall. (This story is found in Matthew 7:24-27 and Luke 6:46-49.)

“Let Me explain what this story means…” Both men built a house. Both houses were hit by the storm. The only difference was the foundation. If you build your life on My words-and do what I say-
you’ll be unshakable when the storm hits. Not because storms won’t come, but because I’ll hold you through them. But if you only hear Me… and don’t obey… when the storm comes, your life will collapse.

The storm reveals what your foundation really is. So don’t just listen-live what I’ve taught you. That’s how you build on the rock. “My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.” I didn’t speak these stories on My own.

In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His  Commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”

This story came from the Father-to show you that it’s not enough to hear Me. You must follow Me. And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” The storm will come. But My words will still be standing. Will you?
