The Parable Of The Lamp And The Measure

“I wanted to tell you a story…”No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they set it on a stand-so that those who come in can see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought into the open. So take heed how you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured back to you-
and even more will be given to you. For whoever has, more will be given. But whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken away. (This story is found in Matthew 5:14-16, Mark 4:21-25, and Luke 8:16-18.)

“Let Me explain what this story means…”If I’ve given you My light-don’t hide it.  You were not meant to blend in. You were meant to shine. Your life is a lamp-Meant to bring light to others. So put it where it can be seen.

Live boldly. Speak truth. Reflect Me. And be careful how you listen to My words- because what you do with them matters. The more you receive and act on what I’ve said, the more you’ll be given.
But if you ignore My truth, even what you have will fade. So listen well. Shine bright. Use what I’ve given you.

“My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.”

I didn’t speak these stories on My own. In John 12:49-50, I said: “For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I  should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”

This story came from the Father-to teach you to live out your faith in the open, not in secret. And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”
So light the lamp.Let it shine. And let My truth grow brighter in you, day by day.
