Jesus declared in Matthew 5:6.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

The more I allow my mind to dwell on this scripture I have a sense that although as a believer I have been made righteous through being in Christ, there is such a vast, unfathomable longing in the heart of the Father to draw His people into enjoying a greater experience of the reality of the new birth.

Righteousness, the state of being acceptable before the Father, receiving the delight of His heart can never, I repeat never be bought.

But Jesus lays tremendous emphasis on the need of the believer to seek, and ever yearn for this standing of righteousness that can be enjoined to the life of every believer who has a heart desire, a yearning for more of the Father.

This is the emphasis Jesus is stressing on the aspect of a believer in Christ having a hunger, and a thirst for the presence of the Father.

True righteousness is in Jesus Christ. To hunger and thirst after righteousness is ultimately to long for Him, to be justified by His blood, sanctified by His Spirit, and filled with His life.

This is really important you have to hear this. Everyone who is hungry and thirsty is called to come unto Jesus Who fully satisfies to minister into every life, Jesus is the bread of life, and the giver of living water.
