The Parable Of The Ten Virgins

“I wanted to tell you a story…”The Kingdom of Heaven is like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

The wise took oil in jars along with their lamps. But the foolish took their lamps-and brought no oil with them.
The bridegroom was delayed, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

But at midnight, a cry rang out: “Behold, the bridegroom is coming! Go out to meet him!”
All the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

The foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil! Our lamps are going out!”
But the wise answered, “No-there may not be enough for both us and you.
Go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.”

But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived.
The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast-and the door was shut.

Later the others came and said, “Lord, Lord, open the door for us!”
But he replied, “Truly I say to you, I do not know you.”

So watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man comes.
(This story is found in Matthew 25:1-13.)

“Let Me explain what this story means…”The bridegroom is coming-and that bridegroom is Me.
You may not know when. You may grow tired while you wait.
But when I come, the only question will be: Were you ready?

The oil in this story represents more than just preparation. It’s faith. It’s obedience. It’s relationship with Me.
You can’t borrow that from someone else. You must carry it yourself.

When the door closes-it’s closed. So don’t wait until the last moment.
Be watchful. Be wise. Be ready.

“My parables matter because they reveal the Kingdom.”I didn’t speak these stories on My own.

In John 12:49-50, I said:
“For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment,
what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”

The Father gave Me this story-so you would know how urgent this is.
And in Matthew 24:35, I said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”

This warning still stands. The door is still open. But the time to prepare is now.
