Jesus In His Own Words

What Did Jesus Say About His Second Coming?

Matthew 13 v 24-30

So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then has it tares? He said unto them. An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up? But he said, No; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into My barn.

Matthew 13 v 38-43

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom, but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the angels.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be at the end of this world. The Son of Man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. What Did Jesus Say About Conditional Salvation?

Matthew 5v12.

You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Luke 14v 34-35

Salt is good: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor yet for the dunghill, but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear let him hear.

Mark 9 v49

For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt has lost his saltness, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Matthew 5v14-16

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Read More... “What Did Jesus Say About Conditional Salvation?”

What Did Jesus Say About The Father’s Love And Provision?

Matthew 6: 25-33

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than them?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?  And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Wherefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:  for your Heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. Read More... “What Did Jesus Say About The Father’s Love And Provision?”

What Did Jesus Say About Himself As The Son Of God?

John 5 v 20-22

For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things that Himself does: and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead, and quickens them; even so, the Son quickens whom He will. For the Father judges no man but has committed all judgement unto the Son:

John 5 v 23- 26

That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honours not the Son honours not the Father which has sent Him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears My Word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father has life in Himself; so has He given to the Son to have life in Himself;

John 5 v 35-36

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. Read More... “What Did Jesus Say About Himself As The Son Of God?”
