Jesus In His Own Words

What Did Jesus Say About Prayer?

Matthew 5v44

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 6v5

And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But you when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly. But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Matthew 6v9

After this manner, therefore, pray you: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Matthew 7:7

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 9v38

Pray you, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest. Read More... “What Did Jesus Say About Prayer?”

What Did Jesus Say About Life?

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 7v14

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 10v39

He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that lose his life for My sake shall find it.

Matthew 16v25

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 18v8-9

Wherefore if your hand or your foot offend you, cut them off, and cast them from you: it is better for you to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if your eye offends you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: it is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Matthew 19v16-17

And, behold, one came and said unto Jesus, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? Read More... “What Did Jesus Say About Life?”

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

Matthew 23v12

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Luke 14v11

For whosoever exalt himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

Luke 18v14

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and My judgment is just; because I seek not My own will, but the will of the Father Who has sent Me.
