Prayer And The Name Of Jesus.

John 14:12-14.

Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.  And whatsoever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you shall ask anything in My name, I will do it.

John 16: 23-24.

And in that day you shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you.  Hitherto have you asked nothing in My name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Prayer And Jesus’s Word.

John 15:5-8.

I am the Vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.  If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.  Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples.

The Protocol of Acceptable Prayer.

Matthew 6:5-8.

And when you pray shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when you pray enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.  But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Do not be like they are for your Father knows what things you need of, before you ask Him.

Prayer And The Kingdom Of God.

Matthew 6:9-13.

Therefore after this manner, you are to pray: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
