Who Are Acknowledged By Jesus?

While Jesus yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brethren stood without, desiring to speak with Him. Then one said unto Jesus, Behold, Your mother and Your brethren stand without, desiring to speak with You. But Jesus answered and said unto him that told him, Who is My mother? and who are My brethren? And Jesus stretched forth His hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:46-50

Who Are Those Who Enter Heaven?

Not everyone that will say unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name, we have cast out devils? and in Your name, we have done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them,” I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7 : 21-23.

This is really important, you have to know this:

  • Jesus acknowledges only one kind of person: those who do the will of His Father.

  • No other claim, no other work, no other relationship will matter on the Day of Judgment.

  • Only those who live in obedience to the will of God will be recognised by Jesus as His own.

It will not be enough to say “Lord, Lord.” It will not be enough to point to miracles, ministries, or reputations.
