Through Adam’s disobedience, sin and death entered the world. Humanity was plunged into darkness, separated from the life and fellowship of the Father, and brought under the dominion of the enemy.

But into that darkness came the Light. Through the coming of Jesus Christ, the eternal Word made flesh, the way of redemption and restoration was revealed. He came as the Son of Man to redeem fallen humanity and reconcile them back to the Father.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”John 1:14 (KJV)

When Jesus heard that John was imprisoned, He departed to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, fulfilling what was spoken by Isaiah: “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light; and upon those who sat in the shadow of death, light has dawned.” From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” — Matthew 4:12–17 (KJV)

There was nothing humanity could do to earn such mercy. No effort, sacrifice, or merit could ever reach the holiness of God or reclaim the authority that was lost. Yet through divine grace, that authority has been restored and entrusted to the believer, not as a badge of pride, but as a sacred commission.

The believer has been given not only the right to bear the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but also the power to act in that Name, to enforce His victory, establish His will, and confront darkness with the authority of Heaven.

This is no empty title. It is the living reality of Christ in the believer, working through the believer, because the believer abides in Him. Jesus declared, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My Name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”John 16:24 (KJV)

And again, “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My Name, He may give it you.” John 15:16 (KJV)

“And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, who cried out, saying, ‘Let us alone; what have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? I know You who You are, the Holy One of God.’ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, ‘Hold thy peace, and come out of him.’And the unclean spirit came out, and all were amazed, saying, ‘What new doctrine is this? For with authority commands He even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.’” Mark 1:23–27 (KJV)

The authority revealed in Jesus Christ of Nazareth was not learned, borrowed, or inherited from man; it was eternal.  The unclean spirits recognised it and trembled before it. Heaven affirmed it, hell feared it, and the multitudes marvelled at it.

“And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”Matthew 7:28–29 (KJV)

His words carry the command of divine power; His Name this all-powerful Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth bears the weight of Heaven’s throne.  “For He spoke as one having authority” — Luke 4:32 (KJV).

Concerning the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, it is not a doctrine for debate but a divine reality to be lived.  It is not a concept to be admired, but a truth to be walked in daily. This authority stands forever established by His sinless life, His sacrificial death, His triumphant resurrection, and His glorious ascension to the Father’s right hand.

“Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.”John 10:17–18 (KJV)

Jesus declared, “All authority is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore…”Matthew 28:18–19 (KJV)  And to those who believe in Him, this same authority has been entrusted, it has been in reality invested into those who will receive His salvation and Lordship over their lives.

Jesus has proclaimed: “In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17–18 (KJV)

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 (KJV)

The authority that Jesus conferred upon His disciples is the same authority that He has endowed upon His disciples today, all He asks of us is to believe and receive this God ordained authority. The Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not a relic of history, but a living authority that will always be unchanged, unchallenged, and unrivalled.

It remains the power of God to all who believe and walk in His Word. As believers in Christ we are called to walk in His authority.  We will never accomplish the will of God in our own power; thank the Lord that the same life that filled Jesus has been given to us.

And the same Holy Spirit that raised Him from the dead now dwells within us. “As the Father hath sent Me, even so send I you.”John 20:21 (KJV)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.” — John 14:12 (KJV)

The same authority that commanded sickness to depart, storms to cease, and demons to flee, has been invested into our lives as believers in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

“And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39 (KJV) Therefore, let us no longer admire from afar but walk as sons and daughters filled with the same Spirit that empowered the Son of Man.

Let us speak His Word, act in His authority, and live in His victory. “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John 13:15 (KJV)

“He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 (KJV)

For Heaven’s authority is no longer distant glory—it is Christ in us, the hope of glory.  “When that day shall come, ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you.” — John 14:20 (KJV)

When we consider the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we must understand that Heaven has decreed it, and hell cannot deny it.  We can use the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that rules over every realm heaven, earth, and beneath the earth.

“That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” The Name of Jesus is eternally potent, eternally holy, eternally effective.

It cannot weaken with time, diminish through repetition, or be overused.  If every single believer across every nation were to declare that Name in one moment, its power would not lessen; it would thunder through the heavens in full, unchanging force.

There are three important things that we must embrace as believers in Jesus Christ:

We need a living understanding of what it means to walk in and under the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth yielded to it, governed by it, and empowered through it.

The right to use His Name has been granted to us as part of our covenant with Him.

We do not beg for it; we were born into it through new life in Christ.

“To as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.” John 1:12 (KJV).

We are called to speak that Name with faith, conviction, and purpose.  The authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is absolute, and His power within us is real. “If ye shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do it.” — John 14:14 (KJV)

Living in Christ, and Christ living in us, is not symbolic it is supernatural.  Through the Holy Spirit, we are vessels through whom His authority continues to move upon the earth.

“As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.” — John 15:4 (KJV)

“And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” — Matthew 28:20 (KJV)
