Saving Faith Comes By Hearing The Word.

John 4 : 38-42

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on Jesus for the testimony of the woman, who said He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans came unto Jesus, they besought Him that He would tarry with them: and Jesus stayed there for two days. And many more believed because of His own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of you saying: for we have heard Jesus ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. .

John 6 : 26-29.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, You seek Me, not because you saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat that perishes but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you, for God the Father has sealed Him. Then the people said unto Jesus,  What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom the Father has sent.

John 20:31

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his Name.

Jesus said unto her, Your brother shall rise again. Martha said unto Him, and I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? Martha said yes, Lord I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who would come into the world.

There Is Nothing Impossible To Those Who Believe.

Matthew 17: 14-21.

And when they came to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to Jesus, and said, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for often he falls into the fire, and often into the water And I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.

Then Jesus said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him here to Me. And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.

Mark 9 : 23-24

Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help You my unbelief.

Condemnation For Failing To Believe.

John 3 : 16-21.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Jesus might be saved.

He that believes on Jesus is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:36

He that believes on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

Consequence For Failing To Believe.

John 8 : 21 – 24.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go My way, and you shall seek Me, but you shall die in your sins: where I go, you cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will He kill Himself? because He said, where I go, you cannot come. And Jesus said unto them, you are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you do not believe that I am He, then you shall die in your sins.
