Matthew chapter 3, verse 9

Mark chapter 2, verse 19

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake, and the gospel’s.

Mark chapter 13, verse 12

Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

Luke chapter 5, verse 34

And Jesus said unto them, Can you make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

Luke chapter 6, verse 35

But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

They answered and said unto Jesus, Abraham is our father. Jesus said unto them, If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them.
