“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14.

Through the new birth, every believer has been granted what Heaven itself recognises as a Power of Attorney, the divine and legal right to act on behalf of Jesus Christ upon the earth.
This authority was not earned; it was inherited.

It was not given for display, but for commission. It carries both privilege and responsibility before the throne of God.

The Privilege — to use His Name.
The Responsibility — to represent His will.
The Accountability — to Heaven, for how one acts in His authority.

If earthly governments can empower men to act in another’s stead through a signed document, how much more should the believer understand the weight and wonder of this divine commission—to represent the King of kings in word, deed, and in power?

Every believer has been authorised to stand as Christ’s representative in a world bound by darkness, empowered to act with the same authority Jesus Christ of Nazareth exercised during His earthly ministry.

“As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you.”John 20:21 (KJV). As previously stated, Everything Jesus accomplished in His redemptive work was received by the Father as complete, perfect, and eternally final. Nothing remained unfinished. Nothing is required in addition. Nothing needed correction.

The Cross was Heaven’s full legal satisfaction—the righteous judgment against sin fully executed, the penalty entirely paid, and the curse forever broken.

The Resurrection was Heaven’s public declaration of absolute victory—the divine announcement that redemption was complete, death was conquered, and the Son’s obedience had triumphed over every power of darkness.

The Father looked upon the obedience, suffering, and sacrifice of His Son and found total delight, complete satisfaction, and eternal acceptance.

The ministry of redemption was not partial; it was perfectly accomplished. And now, the very authority that was sealed by the lifeblood of Jesus the Son of Man through the Cross and confirmed by the empty tomb has been entrusted into the hands of all who will believe.

The believer does not stand in borrowed authority, but in redeemed authority—authority purchased, perfected, and established through the finished work of Christ.

Because redemption is complete, the commission is authoritative. Because the price is paid, the power is released. Because the work is finished, the believers in Jesus Christ are empowered to act in His Name.

Jesus issued this divine command: Jesus commissioned His followers, saying: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”Mark 16:15–18 (KJV)

These are not merely outward demonstrations; they are the manifestation of the Word of Christ taking root, living, and working in those who believe.

The Word heard, received, and acted upon becomes power in motion. It governs their speech, their authority, and their walk. It forms faith, fuels obedience, and produces results that cannot be manufactured by human strength.

The Word in them confirms the work He accomplished for them.
The Word through them establishes the victory He purchased.
The Word they carry becomes evidence of the risen Lord working with His people. These signs follow because the Word is alive in the redeemed.

Redemption is complete, authority is restored, and the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth now functions with undiminished, unstoppable power through those who stand in the triumph of His finished work.

This was not a promise to a privileged few but a declaration to all who would believe. The same Holy Spirit that anointed Jesus now anoints His Church.

The same authority that governed His ministry now governs those who will walk in His Name. The authority invested in the Name of Jesus Christ is not limited by time, distance, or circumstance.

It rules over every realm, earthly, spiritual, and eternal. It is vital that every believer lay hold of these eternal truths concerning the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth:

Every power of darkness trembles at it.
Every sickness bows before it.
Every curse is broken beneath it.

The Name of Jesus is not a ceremonial phrase to close a prayer, it is the declaration of Heaven’s dominion. It carries the full weight of His triumph, the power of His resurrection, and the majesty of His throne.

When that Name is spoken in faith, the authority of Christ Himself is released. “Whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:13 (KJV)

“At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” —

Those who are in Christ are not spectators of His victory; they are participants in it. The same life that conquered death now resides within them.

The same authority that silenced storms, expelled demons, and healed the sick now operates through their faith and obedience in the Words of Jesus..

The Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not only upon the believer, it dwells within.  The believer is not merely one who calls upon His Name, but one who bears it, embodies it, and lives through it.

Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, the authority of Christ is to reign fully, fearlessly, and without compromise. To live beneath that authority is to live beneath one’s calling.
To doubt that authority is to question the truth of the resurrection itself.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” — Luke 10:19 (KJV)

“He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.”John 15:5 (KJV)

The believer’s authority is not a theory; it is a divine reality. The same Jesus who conquered sin, death, and satan now rules through those who bear His Name.

His power is not diminished, His command is not withdrawn, His authority is not negotiable. Those who truly abide in Him are called to walk in that authority—to speak His Word, act in His Name, and reveal His victory upon the earth.

For the authority of Jesus’ Name is Heaven’s final word to a fallen world: Christ reigns, and those in Him reign with Him.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”Matthew 28:18–20 (KJV)

All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus Christ, and that same authority has been delegated to the believer through His Name. This authority is not a ceremonial title to be spoken of lightly, but a living power entrusted to those who walk in faith and obedience.

Three eternal truths must take root in the heart of every believer:

All that Jesus ever was is in His Name.

All that Jesus is today is in His Name.

All that Jesus will ever be in the ages to come is in His Name.

The Name of Jesus embodies His person, His presence, and His power. To understand His Name is to understand His nature, and to act in His Name is to act in His stead. It is a divine commission that carries the full weight of Heaven’s authority.
