Faith Comes By Hearing.

And a certain woman, who had a blood issue for twelve years, And had suffered many things from many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his garment. Mark 5 : 27.

Faith Involves Action.

For she said If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway, the fountain of her blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. Mark 5 : 28-29.

And Jesus entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might a reason to accuse Him. And Jesus said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” Then Jesus said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. And when Jesus had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him. Mark 3 : 1-6.

Faith Draws The Anointing.

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned Him about in the press and said, Who touched my clothes? And His disciples said unto Jesus, You see the multitude thronging You and say Who touched Me? And Jesus looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before Him and told Jesus all the truth. And Jesus said unto her, Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace and be whole of your plague. Mark 5: 30-34.

Do Not Let Doubt Nor Unbelief Rob You.

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done. Matthew 21: 21-22

This is really important, you have to know this:

  •  Faith Hears, Believes, Acts—And Receives. Faith is not passive—it is provoked by hearing the truth about Jesus.

  • The woman with the issue of blood heard of Him, and her hearing ignited a faith that pressed through the crowd to touch His garment. Her faith was not mere agreement; it was action born by conviction. Faith moves. Faith reaches. Faith draws on the power of Christ Himself.

  • Faith is not afraid of circumstances, traditions, or the crowd. The man with the withered hand stood before all, and in simple obedience to Jesus’ word, stretched out what was lifeless—and was made whole. Faith does not argue with impossibility. It responds to the command of Jesus.

  • Faith touches Jesus and draws the anointing. He felt power go out of Him—not because of ritual, status, or reputation, but because of a heart that believed. “Daughter, your faith has made you whole.”

  • But Jesus also warned: unbelief hinders the miraculous. Doubt will rob you. Even a mustard seed of unwavering faith is potent enough to speak to mountains. But doubt cancels the force of faith. It silences the voice, paralyzes the hand, and stifles the miracle.

Therefore, let every believer guard against unbelief. Hear the Word. Believe the Word. Act on the Word. And receive from Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever—and He still responds to faith.
