Living in the Fullness of Christ
Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:7–10)
The abundance of life Jesus offers is far more than eternal in length it is life infused from above, the very life of Almighty God imparted to us who believe. Jesus declared, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).
Eternal life is not merely unending existence; it is the quality of life that flows from knowing Him. This eternal life is received by all who will receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, for “as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12).
As we are found and established in Jesus Christ, we discover peace, contentment, and wholeness through the newness of His divine life. Jesus promised, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you… let not your heart be troubled” (John 14:27), and again, “My joy I give you… that your joy may be full” (John 15:11). This life from Christ is enduring, durable, and fully sufficient for every need. It is upon this life, not our strength, that we must rely upon if we are to live victoriously in this world.
Almighty God is both willing and able to lavishly pour into our lives all of His eternal provision, far beyond what we could ever contain or imagine. “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
Because our lives are hidden in Jesus Christ, the Father never withholds any of the abundance of His blessings; being in Christ, there is the assurance given to believers that our Father will never fall short in the provision of His grace, and He never fails in His care or bountiful provision for His own.
This must become a revelation in our hearts that through being found and accepted in Christ, the Father has made ample supply for every need, so that there would be no lack. It has been declared that: “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly”
It is so important to understand the continual reliance of living in this righteousness that has been imparted into our lives as believers. Notice very prayerfully of the essential requirement of having our walk sanctified in the service of our Kingdom living. There is a daily walk in which His life is continually in full supply. In this walk flows the abundance of His joy, His grace, and His peace. Jesus leads, and as His disciples we are called simply to obey.
In this walk of union, the benefits of His life are released within our inner being, never through striving, but through our yielding. Jesus taught, “Abide in Me, and I in you… for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:4–5). As we yield to Him, His indwelling presence manifests the will and purposes of the Father through our lives.
When we walk in His way, we live in His fullness, where the supply never runs dry. “From His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace” (John 1:16). In the provision of His grace, every need is supplied and every care is met. Wholeness, where nothing is missing and nothing is lacking, is found in the life of His Spirit.
“The Lord is my shepherd… He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:1–3). Jesus has declared that no lack, no deficiency, and no shortcoming must remain, for He has granted access to life in all its fullness. “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” (John 10:28).
There is no depletion of His grace.
No limit to His power.
And no restraint upon His ability to provide for us.
There remains a place of stillness where every thought is calmed and His voice can be heard with clarity. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
Jesus Christ has given to us, who believe in Him, eternal life, and He receives all who come. “The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37). In Christ, we are called to live in and through the newness of His Spirit. In this sacred union, we come to know His will and experience the power of His Spirit in every part of our being, walking daily in the fullness of the Father’s provision as those who live by the life of Christ within.
