And it came to pass, as Jesus went to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as Jesus entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when Jesus saw them, He said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and he fell down on his face at Jesu’s feet, giving Him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go your way: for your faith has made you whole. Luke 17 : 11-19.

This is really important, you have to know this:

  • Ten were healed, but only one returned. And it was the one least expected—the stranger, the outsider—who recognized Jesus as worthy of glory and fell at His feet in worship.

  • The others received a miracle but walked away unchanged in heart. Yet this one, by faith, was not only cleansed but made whole.

  • Jesus is still looking for those who will return. Not just to ask, but to adore. Not just to receive, but to glorify. Not just to cry out for help, but to fall down in worship.

  • Let us be found among the few who return—those who live in awe of His mercy, who glorify God with every breath, and who bow at the feet of Jesus in thankful surrender. For it is there, in faith and worship, that we are made whole.

  • Jesus is still listening for the voice that returns—not just the cry for mercy, but the shout of praise. Many are cleansed, but few bow low at His feet. The question remains: Where are the nine?

Let us not be among the many who forget, but the one who remembers. Let us glorify God with a loud voice, fall at the feet of Jesus, and live daily in thankfulness—not just for what He has done, but for who He is. Arise. Go your way. Your faith has made you whole.
