What Did Jesus Say About Conditional Salvation?
Matthew 5v12.
You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Luke 14v 34-35
Salt is good: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor yet for the dunghill, but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear let him hear.
Mark 9 v49
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt has lost his saltness, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Matthew 5v14-16
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
John 8v12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 12 v 35-36
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness comes upon you: for he that walks in darkness, knows not where he goes. While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Matthew 13 v 3-9
And Jesus spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprung up and choked them: But other fell into good ground and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 13v18-23
Hear you, therefore, the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catch away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside.
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the Word of the Kingdom and at once with joy receives it; Yet has he not root in himself, but he endures but for a while: but when tribulation or persecution arise because of the Word of the Kingdom, by and by he is offended.
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the Word of the Kingdom; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the Word, and he becomes unfruitful.
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the Word of the Kingdom, and understands it which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Luke 12v41-48
Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speak you this parable unto us, or even to all? And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he comes, shall find so doing. Of a truth, I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he has.
But and if that servant say in his heart, My Lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The Lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers
And that servant, which knew his Lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Matthew 25 v 1- 13
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet Him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But He answered and said, Verily, I say unto you, I know you not. Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man comes.
Luke 9 v 57-62
And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto Jesus, Lord, I will follow You wherever You will go. And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. And Jesus said unto another, Follow Me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go you and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow You; but let me first bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
John 8 v 28-32
Then said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then shall you know that I am He and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father has taught Me, I speak these things. And He that sent Me is with Me: the Father has not left Me alone; for I always do those things that please Him. As Jesus spoke these words, many believed on Him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in My Word, then are you, My disciples, indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 10 27-30
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. My Father and I are one.
John 15 v 1-10
I am the true Vine, and My Father is the Husbandman. Every branch in Me that bears no fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the vine. You are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me, you can do nothing.
If a man abides not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you: continue you in My love. If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love.
