Believers Must Build On Jesus’s Word.

Jesus’s Word Must Be Our Foundation.

Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended,  the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; but it fell not: because it was founded upon a rock. But everyone that hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell: and great was the fall of it. Matthew 7 vs 24 -27.

Believers Must Hear And Do The Word.

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them; I will show you whom he is like  He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.  Read More... “Believers Must Build On Jesus’s Word.”

Disciples And Their Actions Towards Others.

Be Peacemakers.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and say all manner of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matthew 5 vs 9-12.

Seek Reconciliation.

You have heard that they said it of old time, you shall not kill, and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, you fool, shall be in danger of hellfire.

Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you; Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him; less at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge delivers you to the officer, and that you will be cast into prison. Disciples And Righteousness.

Exceed In Righteousness.

Do not think that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy them but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, until heaven and earth shall pass, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law until all be fulfilled. Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no way enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5 vs 17-20.

Hunger For Righteousness.

And seeing the multitudes, Jesus went up into a mountain: and when He was set, His disciples came unto Him: And Jesus opened His mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Read More... “Disciples And Righteousness.”

For God So Loved He Gave His Son.

The Perfect Will Of God Demonstrated In Jesus.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus Did Not Come To Condemn But To Save.

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Jesus might be saved. He that believes on Jesus is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3 :14-21
